A temporary cessation of the cranial rhythm, when all parts of the body become still,

leading to profound relaxation.

Hi, I’m Jodi Forsythe, owner of Still Point Massage & Wellness.

Long before becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, one of my passions

in life was learning about  holistic modalities to improve health and well-being.

After being employed in a corporate environment for a few years, I realized I wanted "more" out of life - I wanted to help people in a health care capacity. I took a leap of faith, and enrolled in the Massage Therapy Diploma program at ICT Northumberland College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After completing the 2200-hour program, I passed my board exams with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

I was fortunate to begin my career in a physiotherapy clinic, where I worked as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Not long after beginning my practice, though, I realized that everything I had learned in school was just a guide, and that “every body” responds differently to treatments. With this new understanding, I focused on  tuning into my clients and customizing treatments for the best results. Since that time, I have primarily worked in clinical settings – physiotherapy, sports medicine, chiropractic and osteopathy.  I know that massage therapy is one of many tools to optimize health, and I feel great when I know my clients experience less pain, better mobility and an overall better quality of life as a result of my treatments.

My work took a turn when I saw my first post-mastectomy client, and I realized I could help women after mastectomy or other surgery through releasing scar tissue, helping to restore comfort, confidence and function. It has been very rewarding to see my clients feel better and be able to participate in activities they enjoyed prior to their surgery.

Over the course of my career, I have also had the privilege of educating a new generation of massage therapists, which was very inspiring.  Adding to my skill set, I have also completed continuing education in Craniosacral Therapy, Manual Lymph Drainage and Reiki, among other modalities.  I integrate all relevant techniques into my massage therapy appointments, customizing treatments based on client needs.

I have recently expanded beyond the massage therapy scope of practice to microcurrent facial rejuvenation – a gentle and holistic modality that re-educates facial musculature and improves tissue health, achieving  a “Non-Surgical Face Lift”. I am thrilled to add this to my service offerings.

I enjoy building long term, therapeutic relationships with my clients, so if you are curious to learn more about massage therapy or microcurrent facial rejuvenation, please reach out – I will always make time to answer your questions.
